Non-Surgical

If you wish to have permanent results instead of having to apply makeup to your nose every day and use the gadgets devised to tweak, turn and lift over a period of time, then a nose job may be the favoured option.

The motto of my blog is: “Working with our Asian beauty, rather than against it“.  I am all for plastic surgery and cosmetic enhancements if 1) you do it for yourself and no one else 2) you are incredibly unhappy with whatever it is you want to change 3) you do it to enhance what you have already and 3) you are realistic in your expectations.  When the nose is concerned, I personally believe that the nose should retain its ethnicity.

But did you know that you can have a nose job without surgery?

If you are interested in getting a nose job, you may be surprised to find out that you are actually a perfect candidate for the NON-SURGICAL NOSE JOB (a.k.a. 15 minute nose job),  an excellent alternative to the traditional rhinoplasty for only a small fraction of the price too.

This non-surgical nose job involves the use of fillers such as Restylane or Radiesse to shape and contour the nose. Unlike the traditional invasive rhinoplasty, these fillers allow you to obtain instant visible results with minimal bruising and swelling and practically no healing time.

Those seeking a major change or with major nasal deformities are not good candidates for this procedure, nor are those wishing to reduce the size of their nose. However if what you want to address is a minor imbalance, then the non-surgical nose job is perfect for you.

The Asian nose can even undergo this minimally invasive procedure to augment the bridge and raise the tip like I have done.  I have written an earlier post on this detailing my experience with transitional photos.

Bumpy and crooked noses can be fixed too by injecting a little more on one side than the other in order to correct symmetry.

The downside is that it’s temporary. For some, this might be a good thing (a kind-of try-before-you go for the more permanent option), but for others, the effects will only last around six to 12 months with Restylane, longer if you go for a more permanent dermal filler such as Radiesse which can last up to 2 years.

But what if you don’t like your new nose? The procedure can be reversed by injecting another drug designed to dissolve the filler.
