Make Your Makeup Look Good All Day Long!
Hey ladies! And fellas for that matter!
Hope you all had a great weekend! I had one of the most chilled out weekend in ages, which consisted of my first mulled wine of the season. You just know you’re getting in the whole winter season spirit when you have your first sip. Also I don’t normally drink red wine but this stuff…wow I can gulp it down with such ease…yumm..Also did a bit of rubgy watching on tv, England vs New Zealand and wow, watching the latter do the Haka before a match is mesmerizing, not to mention so damn sexy. And a bit of pigging out in the form of sweet wine, pasta and cheesecake and Indian curry. So naughty, but hell, life is for living and like I said in my earlier post, moderation is my motto in life and if you regularly gym it, then of course treats are allowed here and there. Deprivation and diet are two words that are non-existent in my vocabulary.
So in all, a good weekend. All the while, retouching my makeup in between and trying my best to consistenly look fresh faced for Mr X and it got me thinking….is there a REALLY good makeup fixator that sets your makeup for at least 12 hours, one that you can spray all over your face as a mist so that you have this magical shield over your face, preventing a makeup meltdown after only a couple of hours?? So as I searched high and low on the net, I came across Skindinavia, a line of finishing sprays that prevent makeup from smudging or fading a full 16 hours by lowering its temperature. They are rapidly becoming a cult favourite favourite amongst celebs and it’s easy to see why. The sprays are non -drying, non-sticky, virtually undetectable on the skin, dry in seconds, keep makeup perfectly applied up to 16 hours and best of all, are not tested on animals and are oil, paraben, and sulfate free. It’s no wonder that they have been featured on the NBC Today Show where the mists were proclaimed a “kind of genius” and in Vogue Magazine as a 2009 “Top 10.”
Celeb makeup artist Cynde Watson (Lauren Conrad is one of her clients) loves it too. “It’s like a plastic wrap for the face that seals in moisture and keeps the skin at a temperature cool enough to keep your makeup in place.” Still not convinced? They use this product on the Project Runway set so the models’ makeup never gets aufed halfway through the scene!
Skindinavia has developed eight unique finishes for different skin types, climates, lifestyles, and events. Odds are good they have one for you:
- 10 Years Younger Makeup Finish
- Cool Flash Makeup Finish
- No More Shine Makeup Finish
- Mineral Makeup Finish
- Jet Set Makeup Finish
- Bridal Makeup Finish
- Dance! Makeup Finish
- Original Makeup Finish
I am keen on trying out Cool Flash as it is great for active lifestyles, hot weather and gym workouts. It is a pain sometimes to have to take all my makeup off at the gym only to reapply it all over again so I would be interested to see how this holds up during a very sweaty gym session!
Buy it here at Beauty.com (prices start from $19 for a 2 fl oz. bottle) or check out the range on their website.
On another note, and going back to my drooling earlier, my lovely American chums…you may not be big rugby fans nor even know what the haka is but here’s a clip to introduce you to the world of manly sexiness =D Here the All Blacks can be seen performing their traditional warrior dance in front of thousands ahead of a match against my fellow French people…
Happy perving! What a great start to the week! xoxo
