My Clinique Face
If you have been following my blog, you would know that I have come back from my Vietnam travels just over a month ago and went a bit crazy with makeup purchases. As I was loitering the airport in Saigon, bored out of my skull and waiting to board the plane, I had about $50 worth of local currency on me so decided to rid myself of this by purchasing a little something from the Duty Free makeup counter. Result? A travel makeup kit called All-In-One Colour from Clinique, one of my trusted and favourite brands. Housed in a light and travel friendly case with silver lid, it opens up to reveal the following contents:

Ignore the finger smudges =D

Ta-Daaaaa!!!

Circled are the products used
This had been sitting on my bathroom shelf for the past month or so, unused, unopened, basically un-loved and so this morning I decided to show it some attention and do a “Clinique Face” using only shades available to me from this kit, bar a few items that I could not do without which are not part of the kit (foundation, concealer and eyeliner). Apart from said items, everything else was used from the Clinique kit. The end result is a very fresh, clean look.
Oh and ignore the faint white line just underneath my eyebrows. I had my eyebrows re-tattoed when I was out in Saigon and the beautician readjusted the line (she said the old line was too far down..the lady who initally did my brows years ago here in London apparently did a shoddy job!). So we decided to laser off the white lines and I am due to go in for a second treatment in a month’s time, somewhere here in London…not sure where though as I have yet to do my research. Anyhoo, you are meant to leave it 2 months in between treatments as the laser treatment is still doing its magic so in the meantime, I have been covering up the lines as best as I can with a bit of makeup.
I will do a write-up on my eyebrow tattoo experience shortly so watch this space!
Back to subject though…my Clinique Face!
*stuff I added outside of the Clinique kit

Using a clean eyeshadow brush, dip brush into the gold neutral colour and fluff away any harsh lines so that you are left with a gradual colour transition.

Also just to say that I have generally cut down on the amount of bronzer used. I have not forgone it COMPLETELY, it is still nice to dab some on to add a sun-kissed flush to areas of the face where the winter sun would normally hit but for this “Clinique Face”, I have decided to go for the pale, rosy cheek look instead. In doing so, I have noticed that the earthly heavenly, whitish glow… =) that is the product of the brightening products I have been using religiously for the past 6 months is really noticeable! I love it! You may want to read my reviews on the top skin brightening creams, of which Meladerm is the absolute, SH!T hot product that is very effective and 100% safe. I have cut down the usage to just once a week now for maintenance. In addition, I have been using the face brightening wash (Hazeline and Nivea)…click here to read my earlier post on it. I am nearing the end of Hazeline and have started using the Nivea one which is just as good, lathers up very nicely and rinses well with no residue left behind. The result is a nice, clear, clean face =D
On another note, it’s Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Forecast for London: cold, rainy with a few bright spells here and there. But does it matter when you’ve got a hunky guy to snuggle up to? Heheh. Have a wonderful weekend, my beautiful bitches!
