Smokey Eyes

Contrary to what people may believe, I am very much a homebody and go out on the tiles once every blue moon or so.  I just love chilling at home with my other half or going out for meals, movies, etc. So as much as I love my friends and being social, I also relish in my solitude as time-to-yourself is good for the soul =)

When I do go out though, I love to do my eyes in a smokey manner to add depth. Obviously this look is a bit too much in broad daylight so I reserve this sort of look for night time occasions only. There is a dizzying number of tutorials  available online on “how to do smokey eyes” that involve a crapload of eyeshadows and a multitude of tools. Don’t get me wrong, the results are stunning and I give credit to all the bloggers who post such exquisite photos of their eye makeup but I like to keep things simple and just stick to a couple of shadows to create the smokey look from my Urban Decay Deluxe Box:

Thanks for reading and hope you all have a lovely Sunday! I’m slightly hungover so going to crash on the sofa today and feel sorry for myself.

  1. I love your hair! Do you have extensions?

  2. When you’ve got your eyes closed, your eyelashes are freakishly long! But once you curl your eyelashes and put mascara on, it looks really good!

  3. Hi Petra, yeah I did think that myself too and hesitated putting that picture up. but then i thought, heck why not, this is what my (transplanted) eyelashes look like in their bare state! xoxo
